BitcoinPay has announced the launch of plugin for stores using the OpenCart Online Shopping Solution that allows integrating digital money payments into their e-commerce platforms.

The new OpenCart plugin is now available at BitcoinPay.com, the European bitcoin payment processing provider (PSP). Using new OpenCart plugin online store can easily accept bitcoin payments. However, merchants can choose to receive payments for goods paid in cryptocurrency in Euro, Dollars, Czech Koruna, Polish Zloty and directly deposited into their bank account. 

BitcoinPay co-founder Daniel Houška said: 

“We are delighted to enable thousands of entrepreneurs across the world to easily accept customer payments in bitcoin, while having the option to remit their payments in their local currency and bitcoin in the ratio they choose.”

To integrate the new OpenCart plugin into online shops, merchants must first register at BitcoinPay.com and obtain the first API Key. Bitcoin payments will include a 0.8% processing fee.

“Merchants get proper invoicing in FIAT currencies so there is basically no difference between accepting bitcoins or accepting credit cards for example,” said Daniel Houška

The OpenCart is free to use open source e-commerce platform that got in top 10 of the best self-hosted ecommerce solutions according to SitePoint. Recently the platform released a new version of OpenCart 2.0.

BitcoinPay is also a daughter company of Confirmo LTD since 2013. Over 400 merchants use BitcoinPay services.
