Moonland will allow users to create their own avatars, and explore new cities.

They'll even be able to become landowners — or run their own businesses.

Beyond social experiences and battle arenas, Moonland will also be home to stunning concerts that'll be truly out of this world.

Moonland's development and design team have already created their first batch of NFTs — and holders will be given the chance to access an early demo of the metaverse.

This is a crucial first step in building a multi-chain metaverse that's going to welcome a plethora of other brands and crypto games.

Powerful partnerships

Moonland's team consists of passionate, talented individuals who have made their mark in the world of tech. And together, they're vowing to make this metaverse epic and expansive.

The project was recently awarded $250,000 to develop expanded functionality and integrate with the Qtum NFT ecosystem.

Enthusiasts can closely follow Moonland's progress on Twitter, Twitch, Discord, Telegram and through a dedicated podcast called This is Moonland.

Over the past nine months, the team have been prioritizing integration and platform programming — and building their virtual world using Unreal Engine 5.

A collection of 10,000 NFTs has also been established using in-game assets — and NFT-based pets, transportation and battle equipment is being put through its paces in testing.

What's next?

Looking ahead, loyal community members are going to be invited to try Moonland's pre-alpha multiplayer environment. The goal of this exercise is simple: to stress test game servers and verify that they'll be able to keep up with demand.

The team's attention will also turn to developing a city within the metaverse, complete with shopping malls and other spaces for players to enjoy.

Moonland is also hoping to onboard other video games, and unveil its very first NFT collection. This will be followed up by a dedicated marketplace where digital assets within the metaverse can be bought and sold.

Forging partnerships with other crypto games and Web2 brands is also a top priority — and to help create even more of a buzz, in-person events are going to be held.
