RWA platform awarded Guinness World Record for most licenses at launch — Event recap
The RWA platform secured over 40 registrations, including 11 licenses, before landing in the market, breaking the world record for most regulatory licenses by a blockchain ecosystem at launch.

Regulations have been a hot topic in the cryptocurrency space over the last couple of years. Jurisdictions around the world have set to work to bring order to the industry.
The EU introduced Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA), a framework enforced throughout the entire union. The USA passed the GENIUS Act, while the UAE created an environment widely considered ‘crypto-friendly’ through enabling laws.
With the long-held uncertainty gone from the space and regulations established, compliance has turned into a priority for crypto service providers.
Record-breaking compliance
Blockmaze, a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization project, has placed compliance high on its agenda from the start. The commitment was recognized by Guinness World Records, the global authority on record-breaking achievements.
During a recent ceremony, the authority awarded the title “The Most Financial Regulatory Licences at a Blockchain Ecosystem Launch” to Blockmaze.

Mbali Nkosi, the official adjudicator of Guinness World Records, revealed that Blockmaze was launched with 11 licenses secured for all of its entities. “Following a review of available evidence and comparison against existing benchmarks, we found that this was the highest number of qualifying regulator-issued financial licences held by a blockchain ecosystem at launch.”
The record stands out in an industry where securing regulatory approval has historically been one of the hardest parts of bringing a blockchain business to market, as applicant must satisfy regulators on areas including governance, funding, compliance controls and operational readiness. No other blockchain ecosystem had launched with as many qualifying financial licenses as Blockmaze.
The award was received by Tajinder Virk, co-founder and CEO of Finvasia Group and Blockmaze; Sarvjeet Virk, co-founder and managing director of Finvasia Group and Puneet Mangla, co-founder and COO of Blockmaze.
Blockmaze provides the infrastructure required to merge traditional assets under management with Web3 innovation, spanning payment solutions, cards, token issuance, onchain compliance, custody, trading infrastructure and liquidity across a wide range of asset classes. This has the potential to expand access to investment for the UAE’s 2.4 million registered public equity investors through fractional ownership of assets while attracting global capital into world-class assets.
Tajinder Virk said that Blockmaze has brought together over 40 regulatory authorizations and registrations on its ecosystem, “creating the trusted regulatory and financial infrastructure that seamlessly connects the regulatory foundations of Web2 finance with the innovation and efficiency of Web3.”
The CEO believes such a regulatory infrastructure is essential for RWAs to go through “a real breakthrough,” stating it can only be achieved through the collaboration between regulators, financial institutions, payment infrastructures and compliance frameworks.
“Blockmaze was built on that principle. Every token should represent something real, with verifiable ownership, trusted governance and tangible value behind it. Only then can tokenized assets be trusted, transferred and used seamlessly across borders with the confidence required by institutions, businesses and investors,” he added.
Meanwhile, Puneet Mangla stated that the recognition represents more than a milestone for Blockmaze. “It reflects the direction in which the industry is heading. The future of tokenized finance will be led by platforms that combine innovation with trust, institutional-grade infrastructure and global compliance. We believe this achievement will strengthen confidence in global tokenization, encourage greater cross-border investment and support the next phase of global digital financial markets,” Mangla said.
Blockmaze previously contributed to a Guinness World Record with its infrastructure as well. The RWA project tokenized over 24,000 stocks for Dealing, a digital investment platform that received the title for “The Most Tokenized Stocks On a Single Trading Platform.”
The UAE’s Minister of Foreign Trade, Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, was also present at the ceremony. Appreciating the world record and Blockmaze’s achievement, Ahmed Al Zeyoudi believes the recognition will help cement the UAE’s position as a global hub for blockchain, tokenization and Web3 innovation.
“I am most positive of the contribution they are making to the UAE’s fintech ecosystem. It is precisely this kind of progress that our leadership has sought to facilitate: building new industrial capability, harnessing emerging technologies, and developing world-class talent,” the minister added.
The formal program gave way to conversations among attendees, including investors, officials, industry leaders and the media. The discussions carried the event beyond the record itself, turning attention to debates surrounding regulation, the UAE’s ambitions in tokenization and the wider development of the RWA sector.
