Dr Richard Stallman is a figure in the digital industry who needs no introduction. Father of the free software movement, his ideas and anti-surveillance advocacy have inspired two generations of disruptive technology fans.
A regular special guest at Bitcoin events, Stallman most recently gave a standout speech at the Central European Bitcoin Conference in Vienna, where he spoke on freedom in software giving a timely reminder of the values which underpin Bitcoin’s and cryptocurrency’s philosophy.
Stallman was also present at CEBE 2014, where Cointelegraph was fortunate enough to have time to quiz him on his work and get his take on the state of the digital world as it has evolved in 2014.
