The rapidly growing Web3 wallet app Best Wallet recently announced a major update that brings complete Bitcoin support and multi-chain capabilities to its non-custodial wallet.

New multi-chain features are now available in Best Wallet’s app, which is already live on the App Store and Google Play Store. The latest 2.5.1 version finally lets you buy and hold Bitcoin directly in the Best Wallet app.

While many wallets claim to be “multi-chain,” they typically limit you to a specific set of EVM-compatible blockchains or omit Bitcoin entirely. This can complicate things if you want to hold a diverse portfolio spanning BTC, ETH, and other major ecosystems.

Per the Best Wallet roadmap, support for Solana, Base, Tron, and several other networks is also in the pipeline.

Bitcoin searches have surged recently, as BTC comes into the limelight after plunging to its multi-monthly low of around $82,000 on 26 February. Last week's $1.5 billion Bybit hack has only fueled the bearish sentiment.

Meanwhile, the potential for new tariffs to spark a global trade war continues to threaten broader economic uncertainty.

But the crypto markets have weathered such volatility before. So, if a major rebound for BTC is on the horizon, Best Wallet is well on track to be one of the best Bitcoin trading apps on the market.

Institutional-grade security for Bitcoin investors

The latest update strengthens Best Wallet’s security via its partnership with Fireblocks to ensure institutional-grade protection.

Fireblocks’ Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology ensures your private keys aren’t in a single, hackable location. Instead, they are split among multiple encrypted parts, requiring collaboration from separate machines to perform critical actions.

It’s worth noting that Fireblock has already handled $7 trillion in verified transactions across 250 million wallets. Its partners include popular platforms like Revolut, VanEck, WisdomTree, and eToro.

The recent Bybit hack further highlights a broader shift toward self-custody solutions. While centralized exchanges remain popular, every new breach or scandal reaffirms the idea of “not your keys, not your crypto.” With this update, Best Wallet lets you hold funds in a secure, non-custodial wallet.

How to migrate to the multi-chain Bitcoin Best Wallet

All current Best Wallet users need to install Version 2.5.1 to benefit from Bitcoin support and the full range of upcoming blockchains. Not migrating might prevent you from buying or transferring BTC. Fortunately, the process is relatively straightforward as everything happens in-app.

Recommended preparations:

  • Manual backups: Before upgrading, it’s wise to record your private keys on paper or another offline method. Multiple copies in secure locations ensure you can recover your account even if your device fails or is lost. Go to Settings > Manage Wallets, select your current wallet, and save your private key (on paper or a password manager).
  • Cloud backup: This is highly recommended because an encrypted backup solution paired with a secret word is more convenient and safe.
  • Stable internet connection: Make sure your device has a reliable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection so the migration steps proceed smoothly.

Step-by-step: How to migrate

First, download the latest Best Wallet app from the App Store or Google Play. Then, open the updated app and tap the “Get Yours Now” button.

If you don’t see this message, you can simply go to Settings > Manage Wallets and click ‘Multi-Chain Wallets’ to start the migration.

You’ll now see text explaining the new multi-chain framework. Simply press “Get Your Multi-Chain Wallet” to proceed.

If you originally signed up via Google or Apple, do so again with the same credentials. This will ensure that the new multi-chain wallet links to your existing account.

On the other hand, if you're new to Best Wallet, sign up with your email to create a multi-chain wallet. This email will be your login for future access.

You can also migrate using ‘Continue with Apple’ or ‘Continue with Google.’ Simply follow the instructions, click ‘Continue,’ and you'll have your multi-chain wallet ready to use.

The app will automatically import all your existing wallets—no separate steps are needed.

You’ll notice that you now have multi-chain addresses, including those of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, and BNB Smart Chain. Best Wallet has plans to integrate more chains in the future.

How to buy Bitcoin with Best Wallet

The simplest way to buy Bitcoin is with a card directly from the Best Wallet app, which is available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store.

If you already hold other cryptos, you can deposit them into your Best Wallet address and swap them for Bitcoin.

Once inside the updated Best Wallet app, click “Trade” at the bottom of the screen. Then, select “Buy” and choose Bitcoin from the list of assets. Please double-check the amount of BTC you’re buying and the associated fees, then click “Buy BTC.”

If you prefer direct or non-custodial control of your Bitcoin holdings, Best Wallet might be the easiest way to store it securely.

Best Wallet recently launched a presale for its native $BEST tokens. Token holders can benefit from lower fees across the Best Wallet ecosystem.

You can buy BEST for just $0.02415 from the Best Wallet Token’s official presale page. But this price is set to increase quickly in the next round. Users can also stake BEST for up to 150% APY.

Early investor traction has been quite impressive, with the BEST token presale already raising over $10.6 million in presale. In fact, after around a year of its official launch, Best Wallet has attracted over 500,000 users.
