Today, Boba Network and Cere Network have announced their integration that will bring improved decentralized data cloud solutions to Boba Network builders and users.
Developers that build on Boba Network are now able to utilize the power of the Cere Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) immediately, providing features not available in other decentralized infrastructure solutions, such as:
- Gated access to data
- Data replication and high availability backed by service level agreements
- Location restriction — e.g., ensuring data is only hosted in North America.
The Cere DDC is the world’s first blockchain-based storage solution that is optimized for capturing user, app and nonfungible token (NFT) asset interactions that are individually signed and encrypted, along with potential value transfers, to be stored in a tamper-proof and time-capsule data scheme.
Greg Harduk, marketing partnerships manager of Boba Network, said, “Cere Network brings exciting new options to Boba builders and users — letting them own and manage their data and digital assets with more control and features than ever before.”
Upon completion of the integration by Boba Network in early April 2022, projects building on Boba Network will have direct access to Cere Freeport, the secure digital asset vault and solution suite for NFT-backed assets. Cere Freeport differentiates itself from other NFT-minting platforms through features such as:
- User log-ins for Web2, such as social media, or Web3, such as MetaMask
- Full data encryption
- End-to-end identity management
- Access control to NFT-backed assets
Fred Jin, co-founder of Cere Network, said, “By leveraging Cere’s DDC, Boba Network’s users will get important tool kits to secure their NFTs and will easily be able to access and share their assets for generations to come. Additionally, Cere Freeport will reduce the barriers of entry for Boba users in creating, securing and delivering NFT-powered products and experiences.”
About Boba Network
Boba Network is a next-generation, Ethereum-based, layer-2 (L2) Optimistic Rollup (ORU) scaling solution that reduces gas fees, improves transaction throughput and extends the capabilities of Ethereum. Its Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) equivalent L2 ORU helps Ethereum smart contracts scale while delivering a delightful user experience.
Boba’s proprietary Turing hybrid computing technology lets Ethereum developers build decentralized apps that trigger code executed on web-scale infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services Lambda, making it possible to leverage sophisticated algorithms that are far too expensive, far too slow or otherwise practically impossible to execute on-chain.
