Vancouver, Canada, April 13, 2022 — MoonLabs Studios, a decentralized indie game studio created by veterans of the game industry, is taking its first game, Devikins, out of open beta and into full release.

Devikins is a game with an ever-expanding world and player-first mentality, where each and every character — known as a Devikin — is a nonfungible token (NFT). The game has been released today and brings with it a vast character-collection, character-breeding and training system, which allows users to raise their characters from infancy to adulthood in an extensive play-to-earn economy. Devikins that can be collected are spooky yet cute creatures with wild personalities.

Alongside this comes a development roadmap including player-versus-monster (PvM) and player-versus-player (PvP) combat, with a storyline carrying the player character from fresh beginnings to their exploration of the Void — the setting of the game — in their search to uncover what happened to the leader of their world, The Overlord.

These future updates will utilize turn-based combat, playing off Japanese role-playing game (RPG) mechanics with Devikins’ own special twist to fit the game’s theme. It allows deep, strategic team building in both PvM and PvP. Players will engage in epic battles against otherworldly threats and other enemies that threaten the Void’s stability.

Devikins also boasts its own musical score that perfectly conveys the spooky yet delightful tone of the game’s art with every song, beat and clip. There are also social systems, with guilds and other ways to earn alongside others or alone.

All of this is fueled by Devikin’s own crypto token, DVK, which is as of this moment tracked on CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, and listed on Klever Exchange and Bittrex Global.

Sergio Nunes, CEO and lead developer of Devikins, said, “We understand that crypto interaction is not always newcomer-friendly. Bearing this in mind, Devikins puts fun, usability and gameplay first by leveraging the crypto wallet interactions to a lower layer and providing a simple custodian solution.”

Accessibility is the main focus for Devikins, and it’s just as easy to jump into for those familiar with crypto and those entirely fresh to the blockchain. Devikins is free-to-play, and one can earn real money by collecting and selling exclusive NFTs or by earning DVK in-game through daily play via Moonlabs partner, Klever Exchange — where anyone can trade DVK and NFTs with a simple and intuitive interface.

Devikins is now available for free in the App Store and on Google Play.
