KCC Unicorn Contest data competition had more than 100 participant projects

Singapore, April 22, 2022 — KuCoin Community Chain (KCC) Unicorn Contest closed applications and technical access on April 17 and entered the phase of data competition. It was reported that 114 projects have applied for the KCC Unicorn Contest, and about 50% of them have completed their deployment on KCC.

KCC Unicorn Contest is the first action of its $500-million Ecosystem Accelerator Plan and its first incentive plan in 2022. It aims to discover elite projects from multiple streams and channels to boost the on-chain ecosystem. Also, the contest itself provides generous financial support: The number-one Unicorn project will receive a $300,000 cash prize and support from KCC GoDAO in marketing resources, incubation and investment, a potential listing on the KuCoin exchange and many other opportunities.

Sam, head of community operations at KCC, said, “As a businessman myself, I know how difficult it is to build startup projects. That is why we keep focusing on discovering and incentivizing the projects with potential. KCC Unicorn Contest is the first step toward this direction. We are optimistic that the contest can quickly fill the vacancy of certain areas on-chain and help us to discover some incredible projects to grow along with the KCC ecosystem, or in other words — KCC Unicorn.”

The KCC Unicorn data competition started on April 18 and lasts until May 7. On May 12, KCC GoDAO will announce the top-10 projects and winning projects for independent and individual awards. From May 13-17, GoDAO will initiate several community-voting proposals on Snapshot.org. The KCC community will play an instrumental role in picking the top five projects and independent and individual award winners.
