Bomber Quest, a new play-to-earn (P2E) blockchain game, is being released by the Japanese blockchain project Astar Network.

What is Astar Network?

Bomber Quest is building its platform using the Astar Network blockchain, which has been growing since 2021. Astar Network is a Japan-based Polkadot network parachain.

What is Bomber Quest?

Bomer Quest is a unique platform to earn rewards by playing games and completing missions. Players can earn from three different game modes, and there are 10 classes and six levels of nonfungible token (NFT) rarity.

The higher the rarity, the lower the chance of respawning, but rare NFTs have higher stats for four attributes given to each character. In addition to player NFTs, there are item NFTs that enhance characters’ attributes.

Three game modes

Bomber Quest features three game modes: Treasure Hunt, Story and Battle modes.

Treasure Hunt lets players place character NFTs and set bombs by autoplay to earn BBQ tokens as rewards. The character consumes energy each time the bomb explodes and goes into rest mode when the energy is depleted.

Story mode is categorized by class, where players can create a hero and participate in quests completed by annihilating spawned enemies. Unlike treasure Hunt mode, autoplay is unavailable, so rewards are determined by players’ gaming abilities.

Battle mode lets players play directly against other players. Participants are required to pay BBQ tokens for entry fees and energy, but Battle mode gives the chance to win large amounts of BBQ.

Scholarship program

Bomber Quest is planning a scholarship program where beginners and users unable to afford the initial investment can participate. This increases NFT liquidity and lets anyone earn income without purchasing NFTs.

The BBQ in-game token

In Bomber Qupest, BBQ tokens can be earned as rewards in each game mode and purchased on decentralized exchange markets. BBQ is used for purchasing items and houses, betting, staking and governance rights.
