Riot Racers is an exciting new tradable card game-style car racing game. Players earn by playing the game or by simply owning parts of it. The ownable parts are nonfungible tokens on the Matic blockchain that can easily be bought or sold. The game is inspired by popular trading card games many of us played as kids, such as Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Players can buy cars to enter races, and the top three winners will win Riot tokens, which will soon be tradeable on Uniswap. Players can also buy land in the form of gas stations, mechanic shops, track land and billboard land. When racers enter races, landowners earn Riot tokens.

One of the main goals of Riot Racers is to make it player-friendly and accessible. Many of the popular play-to-earn games are now too expensive to start playing. Players of Riot Racers will be able to buy a starter race car for around $25.

On June 2, 2021, Riot Racers will release the first set of cars and gas stations on OpenSea and will launch in early Q3 2021.

Racers, start your engines

Racers have filled their garages with cars to race, and early participants have scooped up all the available early edition cars. On June 2, 2021, the first release of non-early edition cars will be available on OpenSea. A variety of cars will be available, from rookie to legendary classes.

Cars start out in rookie class and move up in class by participating in races. Players can also buy higher-class cars during releases or on the resale market. To increase the chances of winning, cars can also be upgraded to better engines, tires and other parts like superchargers.

The more a car is upgraded, the higher chance it has of winning races. The cars are now available on OpenSea.

Own your own racetrack

There are awesome land ownership opportunities in the game: gas stations, racetracks land and billboard land.

In order to enter races, players have to buy gas. The owners of the gas stations receive a portion of the cost of all the fuel bought. These are the rarest assets in the game, with only 20 available to start.

There are seven Racetracks and each Racetrack has 100 parcels of land. Whenever a race happens, the landowners receive a portion of the race fees. Racetracks are themed to the country they are virtually located in and named after famous local racers.

Billboard land gives owners the unique opportunity to place advertisements in the game. When racers go to enter races, they will “drive past” billboard land. Owners of this type of land can either place their own advertisement or rent out the space to others.
