Web3 blockchain company StreamCoin has reached a new milestone: more than 5,000 new registered users on its StrmNFT marketplace.

According to StreamCoin, the recent feat took one month after user registration opened on May 31, 2022. Many of these users have supported StreamCoin since January 2022, although the company also observed considerable registration traffic for new users.

Michael Ein Chaybeh, CEO of StreamCoin, said, “As per our approach toward developing an ecosystem from user to tech, we designed StrmNFT to be an easy-to-use marketplace and an open space for all types of users.”

In acknowledgment of the divide between Web2 and Web3 users, Chaybeh and the rest of the StreamCoin team implemented user-interface features to “draw the line between crypto enthusiasts and modern Web2 users who have not experienced blockchain or crypto before.”

The team encouraged registered users to start minting image and video nonfungible tokens (NFTs) on StrmNFT while it is free until this month, July 2022. Later in July, minting an NFT on the platform will start incurring costs. NFTs minted on the StrmNFT marketplace will be under StreamCoin’s NSTA-602 token standard, which is distinct from Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible varieties today.

The ongoing minting campaign is also part of the company’s strategy to promote its energy-efficient blockchain that offers up to 300,000 transactions per second. Chaybeh said StreamCoin’s native blockchain Stream Chain has to be “responsible and eco-friendly.”

“As we observe how the planet is being consumed every day by operating high-capacity servers, power-consuming blockchain networks and other high carbon-emission platforms,” Chaybeh said, “We came up with a new, responsible and eco-friendly solution that doesn’t compromise speed and efficiency and, at the same time, contributes to a better future for our planet.”

TNC Group, one of StreamCoin’s blockchain partner companies, has already minted its “Lady Ape Club” NFT collection on StrmNFT. According to the official website of the Bored Apes Yacht Club-inspired NFT group, there will only be 10,000 unique Lady Apes in existence. As part of TNC Group’s support for StreamCoin, Lady Ape Club NFTs will be sold at a discounted price to those who participated in the StreamCoin (STRM) public sale or STRM staking portal.
