Basketball fans will get a taste of the new NBA 2K alternate broadcast on TNT during the knockout stages of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup. While TNT will carry the primary broadcast, new NBA 2K25 DataCast will be available on truTV and Max, thanks to a new partnership with Genius Sports.
Powered by GeniusIQ, the revolutionary broadcast will bring NBA 2K to real life with character icons, shot meters, real-time data analytics, immersive graphics, and new commentary. Gamers will also enjoy the traditional 2K camera angles, along with unique data, like shot probability, defender distance, and more.
NBA 2K players will also be able to redeem six total NBA 2K25 Locker Codes, each of which will unlock an Amethyst MyTEAM pack. This will allow gamers to choose 1 of 11 NBA superstars to build the ultimate MyTEAM lineup.
Note: In order to redeem their NBA 2K25 Locker Codes, fans will need a valid 2K account.
Who Will Be The Commentators On The NBA 2K Broadcast?
Basketball fans can expect exclusive commentary from some of the game’s top personalities, including former NBA and WNBA stars like Vince Carter, Candace Parker, and Channing Frye. Adam Lefkoe and Kirk Goldsberry are among the other commentators expected to join the alternate broadcast.
Genius Sports Is Also Powering A Madden Cast For The NFL
The broadcast follows the highly-anticipated announcement of the Madden Cast on NBC Sports, which will debut with the Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs game on December 21st. Peacock will stream the first-ever Madden Cast live at 1pm and the game will feature exclusive commentary from Paul Burmeister and former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert. Chad Ochocinco is also set to join the broadcast as a real-time player ratings adjuster.
When Can Fans Watch The NBA Cup 2K Broadcast?
The knockout stages of the 2024 NBA Cup will begin on December 14th with the Quarterfinals and the alternate broadcast will be available until a winner is determined on December 18th. Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural NBA Cup, defeating the Indiana Pacers in the final game.
