Jibrial Muhammad, commonly known as 19Keys, is a thought leader, entrepreneur, designer and public speaker who emphasizes empowering the next generation of Web3 users. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Missouri Western State University. Shortly after, in 2012, he began working for Prada. He also taught himself Mandarin Chinese, which he learned to communicate better with his clientele. After climbing the ranks in the fashion industry, 19Keys founded his own clothing line, Musahill, in 2016.
A few years later, in 2019, 19Keys created a clothing line incorporating technology that he said protected wearers against 5G and cellphone radiation. He was introduced to the power of decentralized technologies and Web3 tools, which he now frequently lectures on. Most recently, he founded Block World Order (BWO), a Web3-centered mentorship platform.
For 19Keys, 2022 was a year of educating and influencing his rapidly growing following. He turned his High Level Conversations podcast into a global tour, during which he spoke on topics such as AI usage in business practices and blockchain-fueled business opportunities, along with messages of self-empowerment.
19Keys brought these critical topics from the Web3 space onto mainstream stages at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Harold Washington Cultural Center in Chicago and the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta.
The key development (pun intended) for 19Keys in 2022 was establishing his Block World Order platform. It is one of his many initiatives promoting his values of empowerment and the philosophies behind it. However, BWO doesn’t just touch on mental empowerment — it also encourages technology and financial empowerment.
BWO encourages users to “learn Web 3.0 while developing yourself mentally, spiritually and financially.” It was created keeping in mind marginalized communities that have historically faced barriers to accessing tools for financial and technological empowerment. As Web3 becomes more mainstream, emerging technologies offer those with more significant hurdles to traditional finance utility in bridging that gap.
In an Instagram post, 19Keys said 2023 would be a year of movement. “2023 is the year of the executors!” he wrote. This sentiment is echoed by many in the space, as the bear market of 2022 cleaned out many of the industry’s nonviable projects.
This year, 19Keys will continue pushing his new BWO platform and its educational goals to his large social media following. At the beginning of the year, he tweeted that social media was his greatest asset in 2022. He also spoke on new use cases of AI and upcoming speaking engagements, some of which included topics on financial empowerment.
