Africa Tech Summit, the leading tech conference focused on connecting businesses and driving investments within Africa’s tech ecosystem, will host its fifth edition on Feb. 15 and 16, 2023 at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi.

Andrew Fassnidge, director at Africa Tech Summit, said:

“After a sold-out out Summit in 2022, we are excited to welcome back 1,000 tech leaders, investors and international players in Nairobi for two days. This year’s Africa Tech Summit will feature 150 speakers across two stages, masterclass sessions, an exhibition and multiple networking events to drive business and investment forward.”

With Africa’s tech ecosystem was projected to grow from an estimated $115 billion to $712 billion by 2050 according to Endeavor Nigeria’s recent report, the summit is connecting tech leaders and stakeholders, including investors, corporates, mobile operators, fintech firms, DeFi and crypto ventures, startups, developers, regulators and policymakers to do business across the continent.

The 2023 flagship summit hosts three tracks: the Africa Money and DeFi Summit, the Africa Startup Summit and the Africa Mobile and App Summit, which brings together tech players from across the continent. As the fintech space continues to experience 20% growth year-on-year, with the market estimated to reach $40 billion by 2025 according to MasterCard, the Africa Money and DeFi Summit will continue to uncover new opportunities in fintech, Web3 and DeFi.

The Africa Startup Summit, which connects tech startups with investors and corporates, will unpack opportunities and challenges within the ecosystem while showcasing leading ventures. The Africa Mobile and App Summit will explore new technologies and solutions in the African mobile ecosystem and share insights on the future of mobile growth and trends in Africa.

Applications for the fifth edition of Pitch Live are now open, with 10 African startups selected to pitch their company and solution on stage to an audience of investors and corporates. Applications are open until Jan. 16 and are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.
