A.I. Leader ORS GROUP Offers a Future of Automation Harmony in the Face of Humanity’s “Biggest Existential Threat”
As I sit here at my office in the 13th century Cascina in the Piedmont region of Italy, surrounded by the unparalleled technology by our developers and scientists, I feel compelled to verbalise my optimism for the future by responding to recent remarks about it by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
I am a firm believer in that the future doesn’t have to be dystopian.
Allora, this open letter.
Earlier this week, Musk contributed to a new documentary directed by Chris Paine, “Do You Trust This Computer.” The film investigates the potential public health and safety concerns posed by artificial intelligence. Musk uses this platform to warn mankind of a future that can only be described as “nightmarish.”
The business magnet remarked, “If one company or small group of people manages to develop god-like superintelligence, they could take over the world.”
I agree. However, such will also be the case if a small group of people control 90% of the world’s assets.
That is why ORS GROUP is doing our best to make technology available to as many people as possible. As an economist, I like to have scalable goals. That is why our mission is to empower 1 billion small entrepreneurs by 2040.
Our company has been providing powerful algorithms and software to Fortune 2000 companies for 20 years. My vision for the next 20 years is to make them as available to the “small guys” as they are to big corporations. It sounds almost counter-intuitive for a software solutions company owner but I also believe governments should reform intellectual property laws so that algorithms and software cannot be patented at all.
We believe the new ‘digital alphabet’, ABC - proprietary Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency, can provide any individual with all necessary building blocks to run business successfully.
A couple of weeks ago at SXSW conference, Musk said AI could be responsible for World War III and bring about a new Dark Age.
This particular comment made in Austin, Texas takes me back a few decades when almost everyone was worried about the nuclear technology. We worried it would lead to a nuclear war and destroy humanity. On the contrary, it has been used for so many positive applications.
Let me pose another example.
Is the DNA manipulation evil or good? If you use it for creating a chimera, maybe you won’t be very much liked. If you use it to heal the 10 deadliest diseases, you will be worshipped by the next 10 generations.
So my questions is – what is the point in warning about the potential wrong use of a new technology?
Every day, I get inspired by influencers from around the world, learn from our developers and mathematicians, and get insights from our long-time clients. We will continue to advance AI together with Blockchain and put it to use that will benefit the humanity; all the while conducting a sound business.
I would love to see great minds like Mr. Musk working with us to make technology accessible and affordable to anyone and encourage young people to become entrepreneurs – in a fully decentralised world.
Per aspera ad astra – Welcome to our journey.
