Kris Marszalek has held a number of executive roles in ventures ranging from e-commerce solutions to mobile app development. He is a seasoned entrepreneur based in Hong Kong who has a successful track record of building and scaling companies rapidly to multimillion dollar revenues.
He founded crypto debit card and payments platform Monaco in 2016, which raised $26.7 milllion in an initial coin offering in the spring of 2017. Monaco later rebranded as Crypto.com after purchasing the sought-after domain in an undisclosed deal. The company provides a wide range of financial services on its platform, including a payments app, fiat/crypto Visa debit card, crypto lending and credit, and an exchange.
Kris Marszalek's 2019:
In May, Crypto.com announced the launch of two new products: Crypto Earn, a new platform offering that allows users to stake various cryptocurrencies and earn interest on their holdings; and Crypto Credit, a service that allows users to take a collateralized loan on their volatile crypto assets in exchange for certain stablecoins. In December, the firm launched the new Crypto.com Exchange, which provides liquidity, lower fees and a democratized quant trading system.
What Cointelegraph expects for 2020:
In the new year, Marszalek and the Crypto.com team will push for more widespread adoption of their suite of services. Their current goal is to break into the top 10 exchanges within the next five years.
