BoomLand has announced a successful round of funding following its soft launch and first NFT sale. BoomLand’s highly anticipated first title, Hunters On-Chain is scheduled for release later this month.

BoomLand, the Web3 game publisher known for its debut title Hunters On-Chain is today announcing the closing of its $1-million pre-seed round. The round included participation from Polygon, Game7, Magic Eden, Hyperithm and a number of private investors. Speaking on the round, Steven Chen from Game7 commented: “We are very excited to be working with BoomLand in its mission to introduce traditional gamers into the world of Web3 gaming. The team’s previous successes with their Web2 titles gives us confidence in their ability to design games with a ‘player-first’ mentality and attract the right audience, and we look forward to seeing their development.” Following this stamp of approval from some of the most respected names in the space, the project has seen a significant level of interest in its next seed round, due to commence imminently.

Following the successful round, Hannibal Soares, BoomLand’s CEO, said:

“Closing our $1-million pre-seed round is an exhilarating moment in our journey. I’m immensely grateful for the unwavering support we’ve received, especially during the tumultuous times in the blockchain space. With the backing of exceptional investors, we’ve overcome challenges and emerged stronger than ever. Our launch represents the culmination of our team’s tireless efforts, bringing together our passion for gaming and the boundless potential of blockchain.”

BoomLand made headlines in March of this year with its soft launch and kickoff tournament of Hunters On-Chain, achieving over 134,000 unique active wallets in just over a week.

The launch created such an impact within the blockchain gaming industry that it directly contributed to Polygon becoming the second-largest gaming chain, according to DappRadar.

With a team of industry veterans with over 200 published games and 1.5 billion downloads under its belt, BoomLand strives to raise the quality of Web3 gaming by bringing best practices from Web2 to the space. Its first example in how to develop and publish quality mobile blockchain games comes in the form of Hunters On-Chain, which is the Web3 version of critically-acclaimed, mid-core action RPG game Hunt Royale.

Hunters On-Chain’s playable nonfungible tokens, dubbed “Hunters,” have seen consistent success in the marketplace since the first mint, which took place in January of this year and have reached a total trade volume of 131 ETH.

The Hunters allow players to earn the in-game utility token BGEM, which can be used to open chests that contain various additional NFTs. These can then be utilized by players to upgrade their Hunters or boost their powers.

With several game modes ranging from PvE to PvP, various special LiveOps events, and free Hunter NFTs available to all players, Hunters On-Chain is aiming to be the entry point for anyone interested in Web3 and blockchain gaming.

The next paid mint that will offer players the opportunity to get their hands on the next round of Premium Hunters is scheduled to take place following the mainnet release, giving players the chance to experience the ecosystem and extraordinarily addictive game mechanics ahead of the sale.

Needless to say, the BoomLand community are already eagerly awaiting the next collection.
