Champaign, IL, November 5, 2025 - Pi Squared, the team building an infinitely scalable network for internet-speed payments, today announced the launch of its Devnet 2.0, a major upgrade to its FastSet protocol.
With this launch, Pi Squared is building towards a future where payments and all forms of transactions happen instantly, verifiably, and with negligible fees.
Unlike blockchains that rely on total ordering, FastSet processes transactions in parallel, currently reaching 150,000 transactions per second (TPS) with sub-100ms finality, and targeting 1 million TPS by mainnet in 2026 to deliver instant and trustless payments at a global scale.
Devnet 2.0 is a fully accessible playground for developers to experience FastSet in action, providing a richer ecosystem, new apps, improved infrastructure, and comprehensive developer docs designed to make building on FastSet seamless.
Two flagship DeFi applications debuting on Devnet 2.0 include Omniset and within the next week, OmniSwap, which will redefine cross-chain asset movement:
OmniSet: OmniSet acts as a universal liquidity and settlement layer. Instead of relying on traditional bridges, it connects fragmented liquidity across blockchains into a single verifiable layer, FastSet. Users can deposit tokens on any chain, mint and use the tokens unrestricted on FastSet, and withdraw them on any other chain, seamlessly, securely, and instantly.
OmniSwap: Built on top of OmniSet, OmniSwap aggregates decentralized exchanges across networks, discovers the best available swap rates, and executes trades using verifiable proofs. By combining OmniSet’s liquidity with FastSet’s parallel claim validation, OmniSwap makes cross-chain swaps both trustless and lightning-fast.
Devnet 2.0 also introduces a Block Verification Explorer for real-time verification of EVM blocks and features applications from Pulsar Money, JoAi, and AI Nexus, showcasing FastSet’s ability to handle high-performance, low-latency use cases.
“The future of payments demands more than what blockchains can deliver,” said Grigore Roșu, Founder and CEO of Pi Squared. “With theoretically uncapped TPS, sub-100ms finality, and verifiability by design, Pi Squared is ready to power global payments and financial systems at scale. The launch of Devnet 2.0 represents the latest milestone in our mission to deliver on one of the biggest promises of Web3, enabling p2p payments to move as fast as the internet.”
Devnet 2.0 will be live at 7am PT on November 5 at https://pi2.network/devnet, and Pi Squared invites developers, partners, and innovators to experience it for themselves. Interested parties can also check out the Devnet 2.0 docs, and start building with FastSet today.
