St. Lucia, October 27, 2025 - For decades, the global telecom industry has operated on outdated, centralized systems that are inefficient to maintain, costly to secure, and resistant to innovation. Carriers lose billions of dollars to fraud every year, locked in a constant uphill battle to audit and protect their networks that are hampered by layers of third-party intermediaries and slow, manual verification processes.

Unity Nodes aims to redefine that paradigm, created as a joint venture between Minutes Network Token X (MNTx) and World Mobile Treasury Services Ltd (WMTx), by bringing telecom infrastructure on-chain using decentralized, immutable verification and blockchain-based auditing to replace traditional oversight with real-time, cryptographically verifiable performance data. As part of the expanding system, Polkadot’s native DOT token has been chosen as the first supported partner asset in this on-chain telecom economy, distributing rewards directly to Unity node operators who enable service participation.

Unity Nodes transform everyday smartphones into active telecom validators, turning natural network activity; test calls, route pings, and fault detection, into verifiable proof-of-work recorded on-chain. Instead of paying security contractors or centralized verification firms, carriers now pay the network itself. Operators are rewarded directly from carrier fees, not inflationary token emissions, and real-world users earn rewards from maintaining the network’s uptime and integrity.

“Telecom is already proving itself in DePIN,” said Josh Watkins, CEO of Minutes Network. “With Unity, we’re adding real-world verification on-chain and making DOT integrated within a live telecom rewards ecosystem. It’s a practical example of blockchain utility in action where transparency, trust, and incentives create measurable value for real users.”

By bringing this entire verification process on-chain, Unity licensed operators perform verification calls to test and validate network performance. Each result is hashed and recorded on World Mobile Chain (WMTx) for immutable proof.

Unity Licenses generate rewards by performing verification tasks on behalf of the network, strengthening telecom integrity across the system. These rewards can be off-ramped (provided through regulated third-party exchanges) in any of the platform’s supported tokens, including ETH, BTC, ADA, WMTx, MNTx - and now DOT. This collaboration embeds DOT as a core participant within Unity’s decentralized edge network, extending its reach into DePIN telecom infrastructure.

Each Unity License Operator becomes a mini verification hub, replacing centralized telecom auditing infrastructure with a living, distributed mesh of human participants and mobile devices.

Overall, the Unity ecosystem fuses three key components: Minutes Network, a globally interconnected telecoms carrier; MNTx the decentralized infrastructure layer powering its Switch and Validation Nodes; and WMTx, a decentralized telecom settlement layer that cryptographically anchors Unity’s verification proofs.

By anchoring verification results on-chain, Unity brings transparency, accountability, and efficiency to telecom operations. Decentralized validation ensures every verification task can be independently confirmed, creating a trusted record of real network activity. This model aligns incentives across individuals and infrastructure providers, turning everyday connectivity into verifiable, reward-generating work that strengthens the global telecom ecosystem.

Building on this foundation, Unity Nodes establishes a geodiverse, people-powered edge network that operates alongside existing telecom infrastructure. By decentralizing the validation process, Unity Nodes enables a vast network of devices, diverse verification methods, and global testing coverage to deliver a telecom-grade verification network. The result is an infrastructure that’s efficient, reliable, and transparent — providing immutable on-chain proof of every verification event, instantly accessible to partners and clients via API.

Micky Watkins, CEO of World Mobile, said:

“Unity is about people power. It’s about connecting communities through a sharing economy that rewards everyone who participates. We’re glad to see the DOT ecosystem join the most mature DePIN project — the World Mobile sharing economy — where real users, not corporations, drive the network forward and share in its success.”
