SEOUL, September 22, 2025 – WEMIX, the leading blockchain ecosystem combining over two decades of gaming giant WEMADE’s AAA game development success with a proprietary Layer-1 mainnet, has announced its official entry into the Korean Won stablecoin industry. At the PROJECT STABLE ONE event the company hosted, WEMIX unveiled its dedicated blockchain mainnet, Stable One, and declared its vision to lead the "globalization of K-finance" by pioneering the development of the Korean Won-pegged stablecoin — emphasizing its technological expertise, high-performance blockchain development, and commitment to driving transparency and stability in the financial space.
WEMIX’s new venture focuses on popularizing stablecoins to solve current inconveniences and instabilities; developing a high-performance blockchain specifically for stablecoins, leveraging its extensive technology infrastructure and seven years of blockchain technology expertise; and providing a transparent and stable infrastructure for stablecoins.
Designed to be globally competitive, the Stable One mainnet is set to ensure high-performance data processing while complying with regulatory and security requirements. Key features of the next-generation blockchain include:
Ethereum Compatibility: 100% compatible with the Ethereum network, allowing existing stablecoin services to be used without modification;
High Performance: Able to achieve high throughput at industry-leading levels to support high transaction volume of payment systems;
Enhanced User Experience: Mainnet supports a "native fee," allowing transaction fees to be paid directly with the stablecoin, and also provides a dedicated processing space for corporate transactions and a development API optimized for domestic financial networks.

WEMIX also demonstrated the functionality of Stable One through a technology showcase, including the issuance, bridging, and transfer of a stablecoin tentatively named KRC1. Currently, Stable One is undergoing internal testing, and the source code will be released as an open-source project in October, followed by the testnet in November. The official launch is planned for early 2026 after stability verification.
