What is Quant (QNT)? Quant is a company focused on distributed ledger technology (DLT) interoperability. Many people refer to Quant as Quant Network, aligning with the company’s main website URL. QNT is Quant’s token. Among its capabilities, QNT can be used as a payment vehicle. 

How does Quant (QNT) work?

Blockchains and the greater DLT world typically suffer difficulties arising from siloed operations. At the heart of Quant’s business is an application programming interface (API) that aims to remove the barriers preventing DLTs from working together. Quant offers a blockchain-agnostic software-as-a-service (SaaS) API called Overledger Integrate. Using the API, developers and companies can build applications compatible with multiple blockchains instead of a single network. Quant’s Premium Overledger APIs provide additional capabilities. 

Quant’s solutions are aimed at simplicity and interoperability and cater to enterprises, financial institutions, developers and technology entities. Clients can create applications with Quant’s developer-friendly multiblockchain API. Those applications are then also interoperable with other DLTs. Essentially, Quant asserts that by using its API, any blockchain can serve as the base for building any app.

Quant’s technology also facilitates multiblockchain assets — individual tokens that can each be launched on multiple blockchains using Quant’s QRC smart contract format. QRC smart contracts are compatible with multiple blockchains. Quant use cases span from supply chain to payments and more.
