The Algorand Foundation is launching Algoland, a 13-week onchain questing campaign designed to boost ecosystem growth by guiding users through its top DApps with gamified challenges and a pool of prizes.
For any blockchain ecosystem, growth depends on a vibrant cycle: developers build compelling applications, which attract active users, whose presence then encourages more developers to build.
Breaking into this cycle is one of the biggest challenges in Web3, as users often struggle to discover the best decentralized applications (DApps), and builders find it difficult to attract a critical mass of users.
To solve this challenge and kickstart its ecosystem flywheel, the layer-1 blockchain Algorand is launching Algoland, a 13-week onchain questing campaign designed to guide new and existing users through the best of its DApp ecosystem with engaging challenges and a prize pool filled with rewards.

The rules of the game
Running from Sept. 22 to Dec. 29, Algoland transforms onchain activity into a game. The campaign’s main goal is to grow the Algorand ecosystem by showcasing to Web3 users its strengths, like the user experience, zero congestion and instant finality.
The journey is simple. Users connect their wallet, opt into the campaign and begin completing quests. Each week features a new “Challenge” centered on a specific theme, such as DeFi or gaming.
To complete a Challenge, users must finish a series of onchain “Quests” — individual tasks like swapping a token or minting an NFT. Completing quests earns points, which accumulate throughout the campaign and increase eligibility for the grand prizes.
From Devconnect tickets to 100,000 tokens
Weekly prizes are awarded to users who complete all of a week’s Quests and claim their NFT badge. These prizes are unique and varied, including a free trip to Devconnect, a 3D printer and even a tattoo.

On Jan. 4, 2026, three grand prizes will be awarded to participants who have accumulated points throughout the campaign. The grand prizes include:
100,000 Algorand (ALGO) tokens.
A vacation for two to a destination of the winner’s choice, including round-trip flights and a 5-night hotel stay, booked with ALGO via Travala.
A Riese & Müller Supercharger e-bike.
Users can also earn extra points by inviting friends through a referral link, increasing both their and their friends’ chances of winning a grand prize.
The 13-week journey
Each week of the Algoland campaign is dedicated to a different theme, showcasing the diversity of the Algorand ecosystem. Here is a sneak peek of the first four weeks of Algoland:
Set Up Week (Sept. 22-28) – 1,000 ALGO to five winners
Prediction Week (Sept. 29-Oct. 5) – Private psychic reading
DeFi Week (Oct. 6-12) – All-expenses trip to Devconnect (Nov. 17-22)
NFT / Arcade Week (Oct. 13-19) – Custom Renaissance-style portrait
Algoland is a strategic initiative designed as a guided tour of a vibrant digital ecosystem. By gamifying onchain activity, Algorand is creating a fun and rewarding way for users to discover new applications while helping developers attract the active community they need to build sustainably.
