ETHDubai, one of the Ethereum local events series, will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the world’s leading crypto and blockchain meeting destination on March 15 and 16, 2023. The event is the main focal point for the world’s DeFi and crypto developers to discuss the driving force of the industry — the underlying technology that keeps evolving despite downtrends.

Talks on stage will be bolstered by practical workshops on utilizing backbone protocols and solving the most difficult cryptography, infrastructure and tokenomics issues. The agenda also includes a hackathon and a stage for startups pitching to VCs. It will accommodate over 1,000 developers and project creators over three days.

The conference lineup is quite technical, but it showcases teams that continue to build essential solutions in any economic or political climate. Therefore, the event is a great opportunity for founders and VCs to explore blockchain developments that will persevere through all bull and bear markets.

DeFi and Web3 adoption in MENA

The recent $2-billion support program from Abu Dhabi’s Hub71 along with the Dubai Metaverse strategy and Binance, OKX and Bybit being licenced by local regulators are just some of the endeavors for supporting and promoting crypto and Web3 startup growth in the Middle East, making the UAE a key country for the digital economy in the region. ETHDubai, in turn, aims to bring attention to the local crypto agenda and is constantly growing the developer community.

The main goal of the event is to provide top-level industry knowledge that will help grow the blockchain and crypto sector while attracting talented developers into this innovation-friendly region. The organizers intend to foster a strong developer community, while the commitment of the UAE to become a global digital-asset ecosystem can support the crypto industry in the country in the long term.

A top-notch lineup of speakers

The first ETHDubai will bring famous and respected speakers such as Luc Lamarche, ecosystem support program team lead at the Ethereum Foundation; Ansgar Dietrichs, Ethereum core developer; Mudit Gupta, security researcher and technical lead at Delta Blockchain Fund; Sarang Parikh, SushiSwap’s core developer; and many others. For the first time, Andre Cronje, co-founder of Fantom and founder of Yearn Finance and TheKeep3r Network will give a speech on Fantom’s latest tech.

The event is supported by Ethereum Foundation, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, XDC and the most popular DEXs such as Sushiswap, QuickSwap and Algebra, innovating pioneers like WeaveDB and Tenderzine as well as infrastructure solutions WEMIX, Nethermind, Ankr, Chain IDE and more.
