Some of the best keynote speakers and international thought leaders in the fast changing world of payments and identification will participate in the world’s largest event dedicated to Trust-Based Technologies, TRUSTECH which will hold from November 29 to December 1, 2016 at the Palais des Festivals de Cannes, French Riviera.

According to the Director of TRUSTECH, Claire de Longeaux, the three days of unrivalled networking opportunities will witness 40 innovative start-ups pitching on the main stage, 250 international speakers, 400 exhibitors and sponsors, 1800+ CEOs and 18,000 attendees as well as critical thought-leadership with delegates representing no less than 130 countries.

Industry experts will speak on the most current trending topics in Blockchain, Fintech, data management and e-ID and e-Governments.

World class speakers

Among the payment, identification and security industries’ players that will share their insights across the 3-day event are the co-founder and CTO of Tesla Motors, JB Straubel who has spearheaded an alternate business model that has strongly challenged the traditional automotive business model which ‘disrupted’ the technical end of power.

Straubel also headed the practical side of production and the structure of distribution in the automotive industry, to earn Tesla Motors the title of Forbes’ world’s most innovative company.

Adrian Ludwig, the Lead Engineer for Android Security at Google, who is responsible for the security of the Android platform and Google's applications and services for Android, will explain their latest plans and advances in the ever-changing world of security; and Osama Bedier, Founder and CEO, Poynt whose Smart Terminal accepts all types of payments from mag-stripe and EMV cards to NFC, Bluetooth and QR codes, and other apps to suit merchants’ needs will also be there.    

Other speakers are Damien Perillat, General Manager, Paypal France; Head of Innovation for Santander Bank, Peter Jackson, who is also responsible for the group’s digital bank, Openbank, and InnoVentures, the $100mln VC Fintech fund.

Also, on hand would be a specialist in the areas of risk, decision making, innovation and leadership, Casper Berry who has worked with some of the best international companies in the world, including Visa, Google, IBM, Barclays, Citigroup, Axa, Nestle, Esso, KPMG, Orange, ASDA Walmart; and a Professor at the MIT Media Lab and a serial entrepreneur, Kevin Slavin, who will discuss the way in which algorithms are increasingly controlling our lives, the opportunities and risks this give rise to and the implications for the payments world.

“The 2016 TRUSTECH edition is about renewal.
