BlockShow has unveiled the speakers for the upcoming cryptocurrency-related event taking place in Singapore in December. As previously announced, the Singapore FinTech Festival, or SFF 2020, is organized in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the country's major financial regulator and de facto central bank. The hybrid online and physical event will run from Dec. 7–11, 2020.

The upcoming conference will broadcast panel discussions on two channels, the so-called “Green Shoots” and the “Global Channel.”

As part of the Global Channel, SFF 2020 speakers will discuss a range of topics related to the future of money. The channel will include the “Digital Money 2030” panel as well as a discussion on central bank digital currencies. Moderated by the professional services company Accenture, the panel will feature Chris Giancarlo, a former chairman of the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Chad Cascarillas and CEO and co-founder of payment provider Paxos.

Other discussions on the Global Channel will cover various topics related to blockchain technology and finance, addressing questions related to decentralized finance, enterprise blockchain and mainstream adoption. The channel will include a fireside chat with Akon on Akon City 2023.

The second channel, or the so-called “Green Shoots,” will be related to in-depth discussions and technical deep dives. Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of Ethereum, will be a key speaker, kicking off the discussion on “Blockchain for Good” and tying in with the launch of Ethereum 2.0.

The channel will also focus on digital currencies’ role in payment systems, featuring the Winklevoss brothers and leaders from the Libra Association, Coinbase and Circle. Singapore authorities will also discuss their blockchain payments project, Project Ubin. Other channel speakers include executives at major industry companies like FalconX, Pantera, BlockFi and Grayscale.
